Built in 1955 by Morris and Lorimer and designed by Laurent Giles, Cetewayo was originally known by the name 'Zulu'. After a change of ownership in 1980 she was renamed 'Cetewayo' after the last king of the Zulu's. The 1980s were not kind to Cetewayo with a catalogue of neglect and at one point even abduction! She ended that decade rotting in a Pembroke creek looking to all intents a completely terminal case. It was at this stage that fate reversed her fortunes. A chance find by present owner David Murrin in 1989 saw the start of a remarkable transformation which would take her from a gutted hulk to the sleek high tec racer that she is today.
Cetewayo is one of a kind with a colourful history . She has been brought back to her original splendour by owner David Murrin who has spared no expense to ensure both functionality as well as originality.
